Tell me how can we believe the storybooks that say: happy ever after? Tell me why oh why must we believe that happy endings might still apply? I don’t believe in magic spells, in shooting stars, or wishing wells; however, I do believe in you. I don’t much trust the almanac, my horoscope, or zodiac; however, I do believe in you. I have never seen the boogeyman, nor a devil, imp, or elf; and neither did I believe in you til I met you for myself! I won’t go down to fairy land, nor hunt for some magic tree; the only thing I’d care to find is you, cuz you believe in me! I don’t believe in luck or chance, but I believe in this romance, cuz baby, I do believe in you.

about

The Grand St. Stompers have been making music for over a decade. While their 10-year anniversary has landed in the middle of a pandemic, a quarantine, and a national crisis, they have found a way, through the magic of self-recording and remote collaboration, to continue to SWING
IN PLACE. They hope this music will help you do the same.

This E.P. introduces a half-dozen original compositions for swing octet, and is the first in a planned series. Volume 2 will present STANDARDS, and feature more vocals by the wonderful MOLLY RYAN, as well as the inimitable TAMAR KORN.

The musicians thank you for helping to keep music alive! 💙
